Just so you know, keep the original 2gb SD for modding purposes in the future. Its whats recommended to do.
It appears that most cases of success on softmodding were using a Sandisk SD card (not SDHC), so i guess thats why its the recommended brand to use on Wii.
I know i kept mine safe.

But as it was told here in this topic, once the softmodding is over, you can use whatever card you like, as long as it works, OFC.
I already tried on my Wii two 8gb SDHC 4 from kingston, and 1 32gb SDHC 4, also from Kingston. And they all worked.
My choice always been and always will be Kingston. Never had any problems with them on any devices, ever. CanŽt say the same about other brands.

With either Sandisk or Kingston, i think youŽll be in good hands.
If you can afford the extra cash, buy a class 10 card. You will feel it was worth your money whenever you are deleting or adding files on it.

16GB SDHC SanDisk. I'm pretty sure a 32GB would work as well, I don't see why it wouldn't.
