Question about the Softmod any Wii guide

If I do everything listed in that guide,. I know Ill have the ability to load Wii games off USB or off DVDR (if my wii support it) but will I also have everything I need to liood gamecube games off USB/DVDR too or will I need to do extra stuff for that functionality?

well unless im reading the Devolution guide wrong it says GX Loader loads GC usb games.. and the SOftmod ANY wii guide had you put GX Loader in the apps pack on the card meaning Ill have GX loader sooooo GC games will work too >.>

Wrong, you still have to install a new MIOS for the GC games to work. The USB Loader GX 3.00 will load them only if you have installed the appropriate CMIOS.

Are you sure? Cause Devolution loads the games in Wii mode which, as I understand it, requires no MIOS.

Not that I'm recommending we all delete our MIOS files :P

In any case, Devolution works perfectly with the stock MIOS (ie The one you get from ModMii or NUS Downloader)

well with all the formatting and stuff you have to do during the softmod process in the guide... I just wanna make sure that once I get to the last part where I put the apps pack on my SD card... am I able to add/install new things to my Wii (such as the mios you speak of) without having to reformat my SD card again... in otherwords is the process as simple as:

leave apps pack on sd card... take card out of wii and p ut whatever I need to put on it... but card back in Wii.... card still has app pack PLUS whatever new stuff i have to install (mios or w/e) I install new stuff and keep my card as is and everything continues to run normally?

Well, I remember I did it for DML, and that was the only way to load GCN games from USBGX.
Is Devolution a separate app?

You will not have to reFORMAT the SD card to add after modding the wii 100%

Devolution is an app that runs off the SD card (no installation required). According to the author, teudj, it runs the GC games in Wii mode.

It can be used via USB Loader GX (with its own loader.bin file) or with its own loader.
