Dios Mios Stopped Working

Hi,

So I recently hacked my wii with the "Hack Any Wii" Guide, I installed Dios Mios V2.0 and everything was working great.

Then I tried to play a retail GC game today via Neo Gamma and it didn't work. Usually I launch from DVD with Neo Gamma, The Dios Mios symbol comes up and then the GC game starts playing. But now the Dios Mios symbol never shows up its just a black screen and I have to hard reset my Wii and turn it back on.

Any idea why this would happen and how I can troubleshoot?


Update: So I reinstalled my original cMIOS and then tried to play my GC game via NeoGamma and it worked fine. Then I tried to reinstall Dios Mios and still it doesn't work. Black Screen. It says audio streaming set and then just goes to black screen. No Dios Mios Symbol or anything. Help Please. Thanks in advance

Well, Dios Mios replaces the mios already on the Wii, to fix this, you'll have to install a copy of the Wii mios from Nintendo over Dios Mios, which you can get from NUSDownloader.
Dios Mios ( lite ) removes the ability to play via retail/backup discs.

Which is exactly why I stick with Devolution now lol. DIOS MIOS is a great program, don't get me wrong, but I would like it more if it didn't overwrite something else that's preinstalled.

Were you trying to play a disc game after you reinstalled Dios Mios ?

^^^^Yeah, even with Dios Mios V2 you can still play retail GC disks thru NeoGamma. for a while I was able to play backups thru USBLoader GX
and retail disks thru NeoGamma with Dios Mios V2 installed. Now I can do neither.


Dios Mios is not working at all. even when I try to play a GC game off of my USB device like I normally do it just says "No WBFS or FAT/NTFS/EXT partition found", even though I just partitioned it with Ease of Partition. It was working fine, I dont know why it just stopped working.

Any suggestions?

UPDATE: so I installed DM 2.5 (I had originally been using 2.2) and now when I try to run a retail GC game via NeoGamma it works. The Dios Mios symbol shows up and the game runs.

But now I still cant play backups thru USBLoader GX. It still says the same thing "No WBFS FAT/NTSF found" and it gives me the option to select or format a partition.

Note: I did recently fromat this USb device to be used on my XBOX 360, not sure if that effects it at all, but I was using this drive fine a few weeks ago. Now its like USBLoader just isn't recognizing it.

anybody know how I can fix this issue? Thanks

Are Wii backups still working for you? I think I'm in a situation similar to yours; I'm running USB-Loader Mod with Dios-Mios and it suddenly lost the ability to play either retail discs via NeoGamma(results in a crash like you described) or GCN backups (results in USB-Loader Mod claiming that the partition isn't connected); but in my case Wii retail discs and backups work just fine. The thing is, it was working perfectly with GameCube games until recently. The only thing that changed in between it functioning and not working is that I ripped a disc via CleanRip, but other than that I'm not sure what could have caused the issue.

In any case, reinstalling the original MIOS via NUSDownloader solved the retail GCN problem at least.
