    Need HD help...

I have a 500gb WD passport I am using for my Wii.

    rough estimates:
    WBFS - 270 gb
    Fat32 - 30 gb
    NTFS - 100

I have all my Wii games on WBFS obviously but I would like to switch everything over to Fat32 to make it easier as I hear this is the way to go now. I have all my emulators and roms on an SD card right now and would like to switch those over to the Fat32 partition too.

My question is.. what is the best way to do this? I have looked into PsychBlades "wbfs2fat" program but am having some trouble getting it to work. My WBFS drive may be corrupt or games are missing files or something, idk. Anyone else have this issue in the past? What did you do? I just would like to run everything off Fat32 and keep a small partition for NTFS for music, movies etc.

Also, retro emulation can be run through loaders now? (Wiiflow and USB Loader GX) <-- This is my goal to do this as well.

Thank you for all helpful responses as always. Cheers!

I extracted all my games back to ISOs, reformatted and then used Wii Backup Manager to add them to the new FAT32. It was a little time consuming but it worked.

    Thank you SNES_Master.

I was able to finally run "wbfs2fat" after PsyBlade tailored it a bit to fit my needs. Great program, I suggest anyone in my position looks into it.

Where can I find this WBFS2FAT? I just modded my wii two days ago and was able to use usb config loader to format my drive to wbfs and now I'm seeing its better to go FAT. Where should I go from here. I've only ripped one game using the wii but WBFS manager doesn't work at all for me because its not recognizing my HDD. Any idea where I should go from here?

WBFS manager should work if your HD is fomatted to wbfs. Are you loading the correct drive in WFBS Manager? (You must select the drive and press load in wbfs manager.)

Since you've only loaded one game you could just re-format the drive with a Partition manager program and start over. Or you could use wbfs2fat, the link is here: wbfs2fat.py | GBAtemp.net -> The Free Independent Video Game Community: 3DS, NDS, Wii, GBA, PSP, Hacking, Dingoo, PS3, Xbox 360... either one would do I suppose.

    Hope that helps.
