    Talking Wode?!

Is it true that the WODE Jukebox modchip will be able to play backup discs on a D3-2 drive? (non-BootMii/boot2 compatible version).

So, I believe there is no hardmod or softmod solution to playing disc backups on a newer Wii drive, am I right?

Replace the dvd drive. Why would you do that? Dvd read is only 3x from backup, 6x from retail disc, usb is 8x, much better, cheaper, simpler.

I know, I know. I load games from a USB drive. I was just curious to know whether it was possible.

    Disadvantages of using disc backups:

-If newer Wii then replace drive - too much cost and risky
    -Buying DVD-R - costs
    -Load speed only 3x
-Bad burns lead to wastage of money
-Need USB anyway to rip retail discs to HDD, then convert to ISO from WBFS, then again burn to disc - COMPLETELY CRAZY, unless pirate, which is CHEATING

I don't understand why people burn discs anyway even after knowing all these disadvantages.
