    Use SD card for apps and wbfs

    Hello,

    I followed the "How to softmod ANY Wii" guide and everything worked great. I am using my SD card to store the apps (Neogamma, USB Loader, etc). Now I have a lot of free space on my SD card and want to use it for playing my backups from there.

    Problem is, if I use Wii Backup Manager and just create a WBFS folder on the FAT32 formatted card Neogamma says it cant find any WBFS partition. OK, so I want to create 2 partitions on the SD card. One problem: Windows cant 'see' 2 partitions on the SD card (only 1) which means the following: I cant format the one partition to WBFS and the other to FAT32 because Wii Backup Manager wont see the one I created for WBFS.

    Now if I create the first partition for WBFS and format it I wont be able to see the FAT32 one so I wont be able to install any new apps and whether I will be able to even get the apps loaded from such a setup on my Wii is questionable.

    tl;dr;
    So, basically, my question is this: can I have an SD card with 2 partitions (1 formatted with FAT32, the other with WBFS) so I can have my apps on one and games on the other?

    Thank you

    create 2 partitions, both fat 32 then download wbfs manager and use that to format one of the partitions to wbfs. once done windows will only recognize the fat32 partition, but not the wbfs you will need to use wbfs manager to read that partition.

    Or you could just have it as one FAT32 file system. Then use cfg-USBLoader to load your games from the wbfs folder on your SD card.

    the only problem with leaving it as fat32 is that the games will be 4.5gb. But if you use WBFS the game will be much smaller so you will be able to fit more on your card

    You can use WBFS games on a FAT32 device too
