Ok guys last question before I hack it. I am gonna load backups from my external hard drive, I have all my PC files backed up on there already, can I create a second partition for wii stuff? I didn't see any options in the partition manager from the guide for that, unless I'm blind.

There's no need to create a new partition. Games work fine of both FAT32 (recommended) and NTFS (not that recommended, but I use it) partitions.

Wii games will work off NTFS or FAT but if he wants to load GameCube games too Fat32 is the way to go, GC only works on FAT32.
