Wii freezes when trying to load bootmii.

Yesterday I decided to install the HBC on my Wii. I followed a tutorial on youtube on how to do it and it seemed to work perfectly fine (I saw the bubbles screen and everything) but in the tutorial he didn't say anything about installing BootMii so I didn't do it. After some digging I saw that I needed to install it so I went into the HBC and clicked on "Launch BootMii" hoping that would work but it just froze my Wii. I turned it off and back on and now I don't know what to do. Do I have to uninstall the Homebrew and do it again? I'm scared that I'll brick it by doing that.

You need the bootmii files to be on your sd card in order to launch it. Chances are that "failtube" video didnt have you do all the things you should have. You should check out our Softmod ANY Wii guide and follow it all the way through. It will not harm anything, it will simply overwrite what it needs to.

Ok I did all that and everything was going good until I got to installing the Wads. My remote froze as soon as it got to the screen for me to scroll down to Wads Manager and I had to restart the Wii. Tried again and had the same problem but decided to wait a bit to see what happened and after a minute the screen went black and it looked like it was snowing kind of. Reset the Wii again and am now completely lost as to what I did wrong. I did exactly what the guide said to do, I kept reading the steps over and over before I actually did it so I wouldn't mess up.

Redo your tasks with a new 2GB SD card, following all words in Softmod Any Wii.
