    Mario Kart GP

    Hi guys.
I've been away from the scene for a while but found out today that mariokart gp 1 and 2 are playable on the wii through quadforce. I've been searching for a tutorial on how to play the games but as there isn't one on here, I'm a bit nervous to go ahead with some rather bit part guides from other sources on-line. Has anyone had any joy in getting these games to work? If so how? Is it safe? Any dangerous side effects? Currently modded wii using mod any wii guide but that was done about a year ago, is there any updates I need to add to get these games working??
    Any help is much appreciated!!

If you go to CTock's custom Mario kart wiki site and download the current version of CTGP REVOLUTION custom track distribution you can use Riivolution to load and play custom tracks offline and online. And it is perfectly safe.

All the files you need, including the Riivolution app files, should be included in the download. All you should need to do is extract them then copy to sd card. If you already have an apps folder in your sd card then just open the apps file in the download and copy the contents to the apps folderfolder on your sd card. You can start Riivolution from homebrew channel until you install the Riivolution channel on the Wii menu.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. Seems like you were unlucky, I had the same thing happen to me a while ago, I rebooted the Wii but the message still popped up, I was a member of mariokartwii.com where I reported the problem but nobody on there could help, unfortunately I had to delete the license and start again, as far as I know there is no fix for this, take a look at this Problem with my MKW file

As for Riivolution, check your sd card is in the wii properly, that Riivolution lists the CTGP files, if that doesn't work then try formatting the sd card and copying the files again. Sorry for the limited help.

No you've been a great help. I think I managed to solve the corrupt file problem, thanks to your linki, I reinstalled the channel, then disabled the "save in sd card" option, as my sd card is pretty full thought it would be worth a try, and I havn't had the error since.......touch wood!!! The trouble I have now is the tracks are a bit hit and miss, some play fine, some freeze just before the green light at the start of the race and others just give a black screen!! Any ideas? Would it be due to using an outdated version of tracks? All the links I find for the latest versions are down. Once again your help is much appreciated!!

Which version of CTGP Revolution are you using? I'm using version 1.01.0000. Very rarely I get a black screen or a freeze during play, I've only had this problem a couple of times and I've had to reboot the Wii which usually solves the problem.

Thanks for the pics, my sd card looks the same as yours, my version is 1.01.0001, think i'm going to try get the original V1.01.0000 and give that a whirl.
