WBFS Manager requires .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 to be installed. Since you did a format you may need to go install that first.

EDIT: More info - WBFS Formatted drives will not be recognized by your PC. You have to use a program such as WBFS Manager, WiiBackup Manager, etc in order to access it.

Ok.... i found a couple of things you can try...
    1. If the external hard drive is plug into a surge protector, unplug it and plug it directly into the outlet in the wall... see if that changes anything, if not try number 2.

2.go to control panel.. under network connections disable firewire 1384, if you don't see 1384 disable 1394 if available and restart the pc.

Let me know if either one does anything....
    Thanks. Alright, let's see...
I skipped 1 because it's not plugged in a surge protector. And about 2, umm...I went to control panel, under network connections and there's nothing there like that. I looked for it everywhere >.<

Apparently, I already had that, but I reinstalled anyway. Nothing changed. I know WBFS formatted drives aren't recognised, but it used to show up on My Computer as a not recognised drive or something...And now it doesn't show up on WBFS Manager or Wii Backup Manager, either.

Sorry if my English is a bit confusing.

EDIT: I tried reinstalling WBFS Manager, too, and once again, nothing changed. I also have a backup folder from before I formatted my computer with pretty much everything I used to have then, including system files and such. Maybe there could be something in there? Just a thought.

    Damn, I'm a total noob >.<

Nope, nothing at all. That little green light on the hard drive turns on, but that's pretty much it.

Did you not just ask this in someone else's thread? Please do the following:

    1) Stop hijacking other people's threads

    2) Search for the answer before asking about it, chances are someone else has addressed this problem before

    3) Don't make multiple consecutive posts asking the same question, allow 24hrs for a response before asking again.

    4) Read the forum rules...
