Help!!! Newbie with a USB Loader GX/HDD issue

    Hi,

I had my 4.1E wii modded in February by someone else - up until today all was ok (wii had been recognising HDD/loading games etc).

Put wii on tonight, loaded USB loader GX off the channel menu as usual, told me it needed 20 seconds to pick up HDD, then went onto USB Loader home screen and stated it couldn't find the HDD! Its a Seagate FreeAgent Go. Its loading on my pc fine and I went into WBFS manager which has also detected it and displayed all the games - so drive obviously isn't faulty!.

Since its been running absolutely fine and then from booting tonight it not doing, I'm at a loss as to why its happened. I've read about not updating anything it prompts you to update so I haven't.

I would appreciate some help especially as I'm fairly new to all this!

You should check if your drive has gone to sleep. Since your HDD is a Seagate, download Drive Manager and see what you can do. Have you tried removing your hard drive and plugging it back in?

i am facing the same.. the question now is how to change the HDD setting to get it detect WBFS instead of FAT32 in USBLoaderGX v3.0?
using either uloader or usb cfg has no issue in loading the HDD.
