    Should/How do I update my r 348 Wiiflow?

I have the r 348 version of Wiiflow and I'd like to know if there is any advantage updating it to latest version (v4.0, if I'm not mistaken, right?)

Also, I tried to update it via Wii's connection, but for some reason it failed. Do I have to do it manually? I remembered reading somewhere that to update manualy all you had to do was download the latest version and then replace the boot.dol file on the SD card (assuming the Wiiflow folder is in the SD card). Is that true or do you have to redo the installation process all over again?

Yes, you can just replace the old boot.dol with the new boot.dol file and you will be good to go.
I would personally Save the first Dol file to the CPU in a folder called Wiiflow, just in case you have trouble with new version etc...

Well, turns out I did have troubles with the new version... None of the 84 covers were being displayed, except for one, and none of the game names were displayed correclty either... Is the boot.dol file really the only thing I have to replace or is there anything else I need to do? Is there more than one type of boot.dol file? Maybe a setting on Wiiflow itself?

I have changed just the boot.dol plenty of times before, without any mishaps.
I would go and download WiiFlow.
Replace everything , Save your old wiiflow to the cpu and put the new one on your sd/usb device.

It still doesn't work... I downloaded the last version (Wiiflow v4.0.1), replaced the three files in the wiiflow folder of my SD card with the other three I downloaded, but the problem still remains: the covers and game names are not displayed. I forgot to mention it on my last post, but I can't get the games to run either (I get a code dump screen instead).

Isn't there anything else I'm supposed to download/install to make it work? Would a syscheck help?

Try this...Delete the Wiiflow.ini File from the root of your sd card , then start wiiflow.
    Yes, Post a system check.
Also check this link out.->Wiiflow Installation Guide.

    Deleted wiiflow.ini, but no results.

    Here's the syscheck:

    Spoiler

I already read the Wiiflow installation guide, but I just don't see why the older version works fine and the latest doesn't... If the syscheck does not clarify anything, I'll take another go at the guide. Maybe start all over again.

Thanks for the help so far!

Your system check is fine, but you can up date your Cios's.LinkD2x Installation Guide.
That will update your cios's to d2x V8.
    Your Welcome.

I followed the guide but the same problem remains... Although I got confused on some parts, like when the guide asks you to choose IOS 36 or 236 during the installation. I saw no option to do that.

If you would be so kind as to take another look on the later syscheck, I would much apreciate that.

You do have a couple of D2x V7 in there , but you have V8 on cios's249/250.
It's weird how the updated Wiiflow wont work on your wii, but the old one does.

As for running through the Soft mod guide again, I really don't know if it would help.
It wouldn't hurt to though, just see if that solves this problem your having with the new version of wiiflow.
