    HDD woes

    Here is my problem. I turn on the wii, load homebrew, then USB Loader GX and the system freezes trying to load the HDD. A youtube post claims plugging the drive in while it's doing the 20sec countdown was a workaround, but I've had no success. If I turn off the wii and plug the HDD into my computer, load up WBFS, look at the contents of the drive, safety remove hardware, and reconnect to wii there is a 50-50 chance the drive loads and runs properly. At which point everything is fine, can play games from the drive and backup wii dvds no problem. As soon as the wii is turned off the problem returns. The HDD is formatted wbfs (primary, active) and ntfs. I've tried using 2 different usb keys and they always load if formatted wbfs, (ntfs and fat32 doesn't load).

    I have a Western Digital My Book Home Edition WD5000H1CS-00 500GB which according to the capability list "Working but goes into a sleep mode depending on hows its connected" Can anyone expand on this or point me in the right direction.

    Here's a pointer -> HEHE,
    1) Follow this link: LINK!
    2) This will update your wii's IOS's 222-254 so-to-speak
    3) Along with this, after posting your new system check, rerun the the scenario giving you problems
    4) If the problem persists, download this file: LINK! (and of course, by this time we will have an updated syscheck)

    Skeptical?
