    Hopefully someone can help

Thanks to this site and some help I followed a tutorial and soft modded my wii following the instructions on the site. I can play games from my HD no issues and used to be able to play games from HB from FCE ULTRA GX or SNES9xGX with no problems.

I hadn't been playing in a bit now when I do I get a DSI error a stack dumb and another dump that says reload in 8 seconds. On the NES games it does reload to HB on the SNES it does not.

I have tried searching around for a few days and so if someone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I had this same problem recently. Plug your hard drive into a computer and run a chkdsk on it.

Load the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> Type in "CMD")
    Type: CHKDSK <Drive Letter:> /x /f /r
    (for instance, if it's drive F, then you'll type CHKDSK F: /X /F /R)

Let it run overnight. It can take some time depending on the size. The Wii is VERY susceptible to bad sectors.

I thought the SNES and NES games were played from the SD card so what would a CKDSK do? I didn't know I needed to update anything over time if the only thing I have done is add games to the drive? How do I see if I need to do so? I really don't even use Homebrew OR the SD card for anything that I know of I use a USB loader that is on the Wii menu.

Can I offer some information to help me resolve this issue faster in some sort? I have less than 2 weeks before the semester starts and would like to not spend a lot of time fixing it and more time playing games.

    Thanks in advance.

Follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide and follow thru this, try this, then post a syscheck afterwards, we'll ho from there. (I've honestly never had any trouble w/ snes9x gx...)

    Skeptical?

Ok, you have your Snes games on an SD card? I keep mine on the hard drive, but that's just my preference. Have you tried a different SD card? Have you tried reformatting your SD card? (Pull your files off, reformat it, put the files back in, plug it into the Wii, and see if that works).

Along with that, is this SD Card formatted to fat32? Cluster size 32 kb?

    Skeptical?

Yes it is formatted to fat 32 The soft mod any wii is what I did before so as far as I know nothing has changed and this just started happening. If I can keep the snes games on my HD I will. Explanation on how to do that? I use the USB loader as previously mentioned and never even use HB but I decided one day to play something other than wii games and thats what started all this.

I will try the pull off format and place back on. Is this some sort of screen no one is familiar with? I found some people mentioning it before but I read on and found it was emulator/comp discussion.

So assuming the wipe/reload of the card doesnt work. Would doing the softmod any wii really do anything? Would I need to start from scratch and wipe out my wii completely then do it? Skip to the SD portion and go from there?

So you've TRIED a softmod here lately? The games on my wii work both wii and snes loading snes9x gx. I've never had a problem with it. But are you trying to use a computer emulator and this problem started or did you load up the homebrew channel, play or try to play snes games and epicly failed? Do me a favor:

    1) Insert the media containing your SNES Games (e.g. USB, SD Card)
    2) Remember the drive letter assigned to it (e.g. D:\, F:\, etc)
    3) Download this file system directories checker: LINK!
    4) Extract the contents of the file to your desktop
    5) Read the instructions, and place the <FileDirCheck.bat> into the ROOT of the drive.
    6) Copy the contents of the file created, and paste it in response to this file.
