    Installing themes for 4.3U?

I keep looking for guides on google and here and I can't seem to find one for themes on 4.3.

Is it impossible to get themes on 4.3? or just really difficult.

Also is it possible to make a 4.3U theme with ThemeMii?

I keep seeing people say that you should downgrade to 4.1 or 4.2. Is this true?

Basically...what is the point of downgrading?

Also, if I do downgrade, will it affect anything I currently have on the wii...like NeoGamma or CFG or anything like that? Everything runs perfectly right now, but I kinda want a theme on it

    I do proper brick protection.

Edit: and yes I do realize it's dangerous to do and I'd probably be better off not doing it...but I have 2 wiis. One that can't run disks anyway so I use that as a test wii

Downgrade to 4.1 its the desired fw. Yes u can make themes with thememii, but I wouldn't recommend installing a theme on any non boot2 Wii. Theme your USB loader and autoboot to it

There is no actual benefit to downgrading from 4.3 to 4.1
There are many themes that work on 4.3
This site doesn't allow outside links but try searching for "wii theme team" They made a good set of quality brick-free themes
Themes marked 4.x will work on system menu's 4.0-4.3

And it is exactly as safe to install a new theme as it is to downgrade. Not sure why people are saying otherwise. Downgrading is installing a new theme

Themes are an easy way to brick your wii if u are

    1) not experienced with them,
    2) dont have boot2,
    3) have no idea where the theme originally came from.

By all means theme your wii, it will give u a brief moment of satisfaction, brick your wii for the sake of a theme and that is another matter.

A full brick is about as unlikely from a theme installation as it is from a wad channel installation.
    Especially if using mymenuify.
If you are installing a theme with a wad file, that can be dangerous because it breaks priiloader, but if you are using csm's than it is quite easy to recover from a bad theme.
But yeah you should only install themes from trusted sources. This is why I mentioned the wii theme team.
I'm using their darkwii green with team edits theme and loving it.

This is just one of those things that different sites see differently
This site's guide recommends that everyone downgrade from 4.3. Other guides will tell you never to downgrade.
I'm sure there are sites out there that tell people not to install channel forwarders because they are dangerous.

At the end of the day if you are scared away by people saying its dangerous to customize, you shouldn't hack your gaming console.
A lot of the fun is doing something you aren't supposed to be able to do
