wii doesn't recognize my external hard drive

I completed the process of modding my wii 4.3 as per instructions found on this site. Everything went smoothly, no errors. I did the "no disk required" one. But now how do i get wii to recognize my Seagate FreeAgent external hard drive where my games are? I tried the usb boot things that I installed during the modding process but they did not recognize it. Are they what I use? If so what am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

As far as your first question is concerned...no, I clicked on the wrong size, now I see that my hdd is not supported. Gotta get another. Thanks for your quick response.

As far as your second question is concerned, when I get another hdd, what should it be formatted to, FAT32?
