    wad question

just a simple question, but when i play some wads such as super mario bros 3 nes version,i start it and then go back to the home menu, and when i try to play it once again,it starts from the exact location that i left it in last time skipping the intros and everything, this applied for all my wads that i bought off wii shop except the n64 ones,my questions are:
1-)is there a way to prevent that from happening?(i want the game to start from the beginning)
2-)is it BAD to directly turn off the wii when playing a vc game such as paper mario or super mario bros 3 without going back to the wii menu and then turning it off or is that normal?
    thanks.

The VC titles automatically save the state when you exit. I'm not sure if there is a way to disable that or not. My kids love that feature, so that's not an issue.

As far as whether or not it's bad to turn off the Wii from a VC game. No. It's not like there's an active filesystem that needs to remain consistent, the VC games are loaded purely into RAM.
