Strange problem with PC recognising HD after using on Wii

Hi guys, bit of a strange one....I softmodded my wii about 2 years ago, and played games off a HD with no probs....I hadnt played for quite a while, and had used the HD for something else, so when I decided I wanted to play the Wii again, I formatted the HD with WBFS Manager, loaded all my old games onto the HD, plugged into the Wii and played them no probs.

However, when I come to plug the HD back into my PC it popped up with "you must format the drive before you can use it" and WBFS Manager doesnt recognise the drive.

Can anyone help me? :confused::confused:

It sounds like you re-formatted the drive with the WBFS filesystem rather than FAT32 or NTFS. I would reformat that sucker with FAT32 and then copy your games back onto it.

Am I correct in assuming that you copied your WBFS files OFF of that drive to your computer, and then from your computer back to the drive once you were ready to use it again? To me it sounds like it was originally formatted to FAT32 (allowing you to access the drive on your computer) but when you reformatted it with WBFS manager it formatted it to WBFS.
