How to do recover from nand backup using bootmii

I had wii 4.3U, I recently had HBC installed and be able to navigate to bootmii. However, my usb loader doesn't work(I may screw up somewhere beyond my imagination). Now I want to "restore" my wii to factory settings.

It asked me ro do "Konami" since it's a dangerous operations. I only have the "wiimot plus" remote, I google around and had tried on the key sequence of UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B A, but nothing happened. I look through youtube show on this, the guys shows that the code is input through game-cube console controller(which I don't have).

I am seeking for idea how the nand "restore" konami code could be input through wiimode plus remote control.

On top of this, I read a post from about 3 years ago that the keys.bin need to be fixed before doing the restore, is that still hold "true".

Not a chance - u need gc controller (pad or dance pad) plugged into gc port. There is no other way.

But why you want to make this restore? you can copy on your sd card new version of your favourite loader. If you have problems with CIOS just follow any wii hack guide by mauifrog.

For safety reasons DO NOT follow youtube "guides" - many of them are outdated and you can easily brick your Wii.

My problem here is that the usb loader was complaining about ios249 and it says it's a stub. I used the code in modmii to generate the files with all the ioses and it was once able to see the usb drive(though very flaky, it only loads half of the stored game and then hang without any additional info). That's why I think the best chance for me to continue do it is to "restore" it to the factory default and then retry it.

Anyway, I will google mauifrog guide and then ask for additional help here.
