Red face Completely lost here, help with an old virgin 3.3E WII

I just found my old WII and my young brother wants to play all kinds of guitar hero (currently we only got guitar hero 3 if i'm not mistaken).

Our WII is very old, if I remember appropriately it's been 4 years since we bought it...
it's version is 3.3E as mentioned in the title...
I have no idea where to start, I downloaded the twilight hack beta 0.1 (after reading I understood it's for 3.3...?) but I did not install it or did anything because I didn't want to brick my wii...

so my question is - how do I get all guitar heros to run on my wii?
I'm a fast learner, I just didn't find any tutorial that covers up this issue...
just give me in short explanations the way to do that and i'll find the rest searching google\this forum.

    have a nice week,
    Adam.

Ok. let's say I hacked my Wii successfully and I have an ISO for the game a I wish to play.

what do I do next, simply enter the CD? or is there any extra step\stuff I need to do?

(We Don't need to know where you got it from).

and of course, your answer is for educational purposes only

You burn the Iso to a Dvd-r ,preferably a Verbatim Disc at 4x or 2x with ImgBurn.

    EDIT:
Or you can install it to a HDD (Hard Drive) with the Wii Backup Manager.

Ok. and if I wish to update my Wii version to 4.3 I simply do this?

If you would like to update your Wii IOS- NOT needed for 4.3 wiis
    Download IOS Update.zip
    Extract to sd:\
    Overwrite files if asked
taken from the guide in your signature...

If your wii is not hacked / Modded yet ,then you would need to use that guide first.
The Ios update pack is to update all your ios's so you can play original wii disc.

No you do not need to update to system menu 4.3,as it offer's nothing.
We recommend installing the patched system menu from that guide.(It's extra protection)

But is it safe to install system menu v4.2 or v4.3 while my Wii is on 3.3e?

You won't be going to system menu 4.2 or 4.3 you will be going to system menu 4.1 patched.

Read the guide and you will see ,that if you follow the guide..... it is indeed safe.

I have never bricked my wii or anybody Else's wii using this Guide.

Since your wii is a virgin, it would be fine. We never recommend official updates but if you simply want to get a newer retail game to play then updating will be fine. The softmod any wii guide is your best solution IMHO though. You may want to read the FAQ link in my signature just to get you familiar with what is going on.

As the others said, 4.2 and 4.3 were released just to screw with modders, so there is no upside and a big downside; the guide allows you to install a patched 4.1 which doesn't contain the downsides of 4.2 and 4.3.
