Exclamation SoftMod'd Now what? (seeking a small bit of guidance)

I have read until me head hurt for the last two days before doing anything to my wii that I purchased on saturday. I am now seeking a little bit of guidance on what to do next to forward me to the end goal I have with the we.

Since I've owned almost every nintendo system I've always kept my most favorite games for each system so I wanted to organize those 50-60 games all together on one machine and just make everything more tidy. I'm one of those clean freaks that like everything perfect, especially when it comes to my hard drives and anything involving computer organization.

I am a tech guy but I am still having a little bit of trouble understanding how channels are organized and how/if the sd card needs to have items in its "app" folder all the time. I just hate having extra files I dont need haha.

What I want from my wii:
To play my 50 or so games ranging from nes/snes/n64/gamecube/wii all via usb hard drive. I have heard that via hd games tend to load faster (I hate load times ><)

Not sure how to compile my questions since at this time I have so many...

    1. Best emulator for nes games?
-ive heard it was FXE Ultra GX, is this true?

    2. Best emulator for SNES games?
-Ive heard it was SNES9X GX, is this true?

    3. The farther away I get from "Softmod ANY Wii" thread, the more confused I get! What all is needed to setup my hard drive?
-It has already been formated to FAT32

    4. Is there a single program that plays gamecube and wii games? and if so what is the best file extension for these wii games?
-I have seen .iso (which I'm used to dealing with in the pc world) and .wbfs (which I havnt heard much of)

Lets just start there with these four questions then I can move on if needed. I dont care for my wii to do anything else besides play some games on occasion. I've already got a pc hooked up to the TV and that handles alot of multitasking.

    Yes
    Yes
Fat32 guide shows u everything u will need
most of the USB loaders allow both Wii and gc games playback now. Although gc is via as card only at the moment. The most popular ones are cfg USB loader, USB loader gx or wiiflow.
I prefer wbfs file format as it is much smaller usually. Wii game manager can help u with conversion etc

I am almost done with your guide actually, ripped zelda skyward and metroid prime trilogy to iso and am converting them via wii backup manager right now.

Once I do that and check it out on the wii then hopefully itll start making sense to me, this weekend is really just an information overload with an OS (wii) I've never seen before...

saw your sig and jumped over to my tapatalk app, love that you guys are on here.

Anyways, back to my questions for the end of the day.

As far as gamecube games i really only have 5 i care about. If i were to get an 8 or 16gb sd card would the wii be able to read it? Point being i really dont want to ever be unplugging and replugging anything in. Would have loved everything to read off the usb hd but that isnt happening because of gc. Back to the size of the sd card, i read some wii dont take bigger then 2 or 4 gb... Something like that... I didnt completely understand what it meant.

Of course immediately after I type a question I find a thread with the answer...

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ite-guide.html

    What you will need

    3) A compatible sd card formatted to fat32 to store the games (preferably SDHC cards up to 32GB class 10 are recommended, formatted with 64kb clusters)

Looks like I'll be looking for a nice 32gb CL10 sandisk today @@
