Is firmware 3.2U enough to play Rock Band 3 and keyboard?

I plan to buy Rock Band 3 bundled with the keyboard. My Wii is running softmod 3.2U that has Homebrew channel.

Is firmware 3.2U enough to play Rock Band 3? I haven't plug the keyboard to my Wii yet to know if it will connect.

I have been reading the music game info. It said ios 223 base 38 merged with base 37 Hermes v4
    cios 248 base 56 d2xv7

But I don't quite understand how to check my Wii ios, cios, etc. How does d2x related to firmware version 3.2U?

    Thanks.

Just run a syscheck and update the necessary IOSs. No need to update the System Menu at all.

Before I had syscheck run the check, my Wii doesn't have IOS 223 if I press right arrow. Still not sure what to do from here. I also installed IOS58 (installer?)

If I don't need to update the System Menu, does it mean firmware 3.4U can play Rock Band 3 retail DVD disc directly?

I read the guides but I already have most (maybe) all the Homebrew, BootMii, etc installed. Also, if I try to download any of the files in the guide, it wants a password.

I have bought the RB3/keyboard bundle. First thing I tried is see if the game disc will load but it wants to update the firmware. No idea what firmware it plans to install. (I have older Wii games that require to update the firmware but after I let it update, the firmware version never changed.) Any idea if it's safe to let the RB3 game disc the firmware? I know the guide said not to do it.

Right now, I'm lost what to do next because my Wii is already softmod and I'm not sure if it's safe to redo everything in the guide nor I have password to download the required files.

All your questions are answered in the anywii guide. Try reading it again.

Updating directly from nintendo does incur some brick risk, and will likely kill any softmods you have now.

Thanks. Got my Wii softmodded to run Rock Band 3 game disc. After downloaded the required files, I started from Chapter 2 onwards, installed System Menu 4.1U and Shopping Channel 2.0.

A few steps didn't quite behavior like the Guide. After loaded ARCmod06_Offline, "Do not install system menu 4.1" was always at "Go" selection. I couldn't change it to no install. My Wii already has all the setting correct.

In Chapter 3, it said to download "APP_PACK_V3.zip" but the file cannot be found online. But my Wii already has those 5 apps installed in the Channel by the time I completed Chapter 3, part 3.

Is the mod tricking Nintendo to allow System Menu 4.1U to enter the Shopping Channel? The last time I bought something from the store was in 2008.
