I have read many tutorials, and think I will be able to open my Wii up, but I have one question. Instead of putting the exploit and other needed files on an SD card and into my Wii, can I do the same with a USB flash drive? I just don't have a computer that I can put an SD card into to put files onto it. Can anyone help? Much appreciated!!!
Sorry to say no. you have to use a SD card. Follow the softmod any Wii guide in the spoiler below.
You will need to get a SD card reader, that will plug into your pc via Usb.

Yes, but you will really want to get a usb hdd. Even if you have a 32 gb sd card that is not going to be big enough to hold a lot of wii games.
I was just going to do what I did with my psp. Keep the copies I'm not playing on my PC and swap them out.
