ios14 is freezing my wiiner. guess i shouldn't have played with it so much long ago

sup guys, i have a wii that i modded quite a while ago (years...) it looks like it has been through the rwandan genocide with the Tutsi's.
now i have no idea what mod i put on there i think it was some kind of automated package that did most of the work for me and i think
it 'played' with the disc channel so i could run my 'hard' earned backups from there including GC backups, well unforchantly the disc drive 'died'
on me and i cant test if it plays backups. well enough teasing its time to strip down to business.

i have the latest homebrew channel installed
i have BootMii set up as boot2! and a recent nand backup (note i seen a bad block when i was backing up)
i have a custom theme installed but not sure where i got it.
my wii works fine for the most part but i would like to update it and get rid of any crap but i cant run system check because it freezes on IOS14
    any help would be grate

Generally when syscheck freezes on an IOS, the IOS needs to be reinstalled. You have a few options here. You could update things individually according to your preferences, or you could do it all in one shot and get our preferred setup. The first option is much more detailed and time consuming, but fun at the same time because you learn a lot and can customize your Wii to be exactly how you want it. The second option has been tested and confirmed working by thousands of people, that being the Softmod ANY Wii guide. Since your thread title made me laugh my arse off we wouldn't mind helping you with either option. The only thing we ask is that you at least read the ANY Wii guide and see if that does what you want.

Well, the ANY Wii guide will update everything - IOS, cIOS, loaders, etc.. Or you could just update your IOS - check out THIS GUIDE, and since you haven't used your Wii in awhile I would recommend updating all of them.

You need to update all your IOS. And all of your cIOS are outdated as well. Probably loaders too. And you need priiloader...lol

Check out THIS THREAD. Since you seem to be a hands on type person, that is probably what you are going to want to use!

LOL, I told ya you were in need of some serious maintenance! There are actually a few more you could add to the list if you wanted to get into nand emulation

Being hands on and getting maintenance will unfreeze your wiiner...lmao
