    Wii Use Router storage

    On my belkin router i have Usb stick as storage i would like to be able to access this from my wii any ideas?

    If you mean access to use with an application like WiiMC, it might be possible if your router supports SAMBA or some other mechanism that WiiMC supports. If you're thinking about playing games from it, no.. that won't work.

    Thanks for responding. Exactly !! I want to watch movies and music from it any help would be great. The router is a belkin.

    To be honest, I've not tried this myself. I'm not familiar with the belkin routers, but it should be possible as long as your router supports some type of file sharing that WiiMC can support. You'd want to look in your routers documentation or in the setup pages for it - there should be some configuration that allows you to specify how the drive will be shared. You'll be looking for SMB shares or some such. You'd then setup WiiMC to point to this share. Do a little legwork, report back. The only thing I can think of is if there is no way to address the share using standard methodology (i.e. if only accessible via UPNP or some mess)
