How do I find a more permenant solution?

OK, I've been successfully running my soft modded wii with USB Loader GX with no problems at all. Adding wbfs's loading up and downloading cover art. All with no problem.

What I decided to do was to try and get the Gamecube backup launcher after getting some blank dvd's, what this involved was me downloading some ios/cios and patching it. Now after I realized my (Black) Wii won't run these backups, I decided to forget it. I ran into a snag with all my cover arts being gone in USB loader GX and not being able to download them (USB8://blah blah not found or cant be wrote). So I reinstalled the ios249 v20 to the best of my ability to do so. After that it was ok, I went in and downloaded my cover art no problem. After restarting my wii my USB loader said it couldn't read my USB device (Hard drive) I went in and reinstalled the 249 v20 from the homebrew channel again, didn't make a difference. I went into my mod wii and extracted it to a .wad and then installed it and then it worked perfect.

My problem now is I can't get my USB loader GX to recognize my USB device without going in and installing this .wad again. Help? What do I install?
Also, this may be where the problem is. After I install the .wad I have to exit via the home button. If I try to exit by pressing B a couple times it doees this verifying thing and it just hangs in limbo on Sum 51 I think it is? Well If anyone can't figure this out is there a way I can start from scratch and just remod? I have like 75 wbfs's but they are all on my HDD so i have nothing to really loose if I can just remod and get USB Loader GX back. Thanks.

My advise is to use the softmod any wii guide to resoftmod your wii. The softmod any wii guide will install d2x v7, which has better compatibility. Furthermore, it will 'clean up' your wii, so you have a fresh start and we (mods and members) know which set-up you are using.
Awesome sig picture does not work

Hey thanks for the advice and reply. I lost power in my apartment complex this morning and was moping around for an hour an when it turned back on finally I started up my Wii and then loaded USB loader GX and it loaded everything perfectly. Fixed or not? Possibiliy I remember last night messing around reinstalling 249 or something I'm fairly new to the game so I was just trying to restore it to where it was before I tried patching it for the Gamecube backup launcher.

Might just have to actually buy Gamecube games. haha, Too bad I sold all of mine ages ago.
EDIT: Tried playing a game which messes up for some reason and restarted my Wii, getting the same no usb device found error. Going to wait till a little later date So i know the power wont shut off on me until remodding.
EDIT:: Unplugged and replugged in HDD lloaded USB loader and it's OK? This is after playing my Smash 64 .wad Don't know if that matters.
