Where do I get System Menu updates?

My Wii is currently at 2.2u, and I need to find a way to download an appropriate System Menu to softmod, possibly 4.1u. Modmii was being slow, and I couldn't tell if it was actually downloading.
    Any links? (torrents preferred)

P.S. Apologies if this has been asked before, but search didn't give me anything...

    Edit:
A search says that I can update to 4.1u through homebrew, but how do I update to 3.0u or greater first?

Using a game disc with the 4.1 update is what I usually do, then proceed with the softmod any wii guide(there is a link to that in my signature).
You could always do an online update through Nintendo if you really wanted to, that will put you on 4.3. We don't really recommend the Nintendo update, just in case they changed something that block the ability to hack it.

Just follow the Any Wii Softmod guide and you will have 4.1

The guide doesn't cover system menus that old. User said they are on 2.? I think the instructions start at sm 3.0

Sent with WiiHacks app, that should explain any typos 8-p

Why not just update to 4.3 and use letterbomb? Its as easy as any other SM.

I still want to have the ability to restore from a NAND backup if I mess up.

Is there a list of games with the appropriate system menu updates? My wii probably has a mod chip in it, so would games that need the mod chip have the appropriate update?

    Burn this disc-
    Auto-Boot BLIND v2.0 USA.zip
    Extract this to sd:\ MMM-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0.zip
    Load B.L.I.N.D
    Select wad manger, install ios58
    Select app manager
    load hackmii installer
Install HBC, bootmii, make nand backup, etc (all of chapter 1)
Do all of chapter 2 including the ios update, now your good to go.

Edit- you should patch the ios of that disc to ios16 (assuming your chip is not blocking disc updates) or ios9 or ios11. 16 is good, but the disc has an update on it which needs to install first. 9 and 11 would probably work just as well. Use iospatcher to patch the disc ios.

Thank you very much for these files, I'm going to do as instructed and report back in if in case of problems.

Edit: Although now, I'm confused as to what "IOSpatcher" is. The search got me something that runs on the Wii, but isn't it some kind of PC application?

    Unless I'm understanding it incorrectly...

Use use it on your pc. Just drag the iso file onto iospatcher, it will open up a shell and you can change the ios to anything you like. This would be the ios the disc will load on, currently it is 249 which I doubt you have. The disc has a system update with ios16 on it, so as long as your chip does not block that update you can patch the disc to run on ios16. You could also use ios9 or 11 which your wii should have.

Thanks again! I'll try ios16; if that fails (because I don't really know the modchip), I'll try 9 and 11.

Edit: For some reason, ios16 led to error, so I'll try ios9 next, is the disc supposed to appear empty in PowerISO?
