    WBFS to FAT32 migration

    Greetings fellow combatants,

Ripped my entire collection to WBFS before finding this site and the error of my ways. Is there a way to convert/copy/clone all that work over to a spare drive formatted for FAT32. I've searched the forums and found assertions that WBFS manager can do it... but I'm not buyin' it. Best I can tell that tool won't clone disks of dissimilar format.

Thanks in advance for your help!

.. and the follow up question. Presently, the wii is dependent on the SD card to boot straight into the USB loader. I understand that data can reside on the HDD when formatted for FAT32. What would that migration look like? Simple as copying it over? thx

Yes. Only for fat32. NTFS would not work as HBC doesnt support it for loading apps. That is why fat32 rocks the house.

Thanks for jumping in here Blu. Copying the contents of the SD card to the HDD got me closer. It now boots to USBLoaderGX sans SD but there are still many references to the absent SD card for cover art and sundry HB tools, etc.

Where do those pointers reside and how do I change them?

You can change them in GX itself by accessing the settings then file paths menu, or you can edit the gxglobal file in the apps/usbloader_gx folder and change all references that say sd to usb.

Thanks cjizzle. Little embarrassed to have missed that but it's all good now. Don't care about the cloning aspect either. Easy enough to just rip the discs again.

    Thanks again.
