    vc/wiiware as wads

I bought a lot of games some on my old wii through the shop channel. I gave that wii to a relative, and then i found a back up of the "private" folder on my computer.
I am under the impression that you can install a copy of a vc/wiiware game as a wad on another wii and it will play? am i correct? I don't need the steps to do it, just is this correct?

    thanks

Wiiware is linked to a single console. Your license to use the game (and ticket/etc to make it work) are for the console only. It will not work.

Get a emu nand going on your HDD or SD card and install all your WADs to that using ShowMiiWADS then use mighty channels to read your emu nand folder and play them.

If you install the games WAD DIRECTLY onto another Wii yes it will play.
If you install the games WAD onto your Wii, then move the games to your SD card via data manager and try to play them from SD in another Wii they will not play.

I am slightly confused though because you mention having a backup private folder... then you ask about WAD installs. The private folder does not store any wads.. only the game's data files after being installed are there. So, to reinstall those games on your Wii or any other Wii for that matter you would need the WAD files themselves.. not the private folder.
