Need to remove power cable on regular basis. Any ideas?

So iv got a softmoded wii.
On most times it will start with no problem on the remote. But from time to time the light stays yellow, and even the power button on the wii wil not turn it on. I then need to pull the power cable, and the power lamp turns red. Then I can press power and it starts normaly.
    Any idea why this hapends?

it depends on what you are running when you try to turn off with the wiimote. i find some emu's don't really turn off the wii when you use the power button on the wii mote. just press and hold the power button on the wii until it turns red instead of pulling the plug

Wel it never turns red when I hold the off. its green for on and yellow for off isent it? Red is only after I have to pull the cable.

And when u have to kill the power on your Wii after a freeze, etc. Don't pull the plug. It's not good for it.
Simply hold the power button till it turns red.

Hey maraxion, Do you have priloader installed. If so set the hack to ignore standby. I use this and it switches on/off with remote OK.
