    priiloader help

ok i was using the guide to softmod any wii and got to the part where i needed to hold the reset button down for priiloader. held it down for a while and got nothing so i held the power button down for 10 secs and now when i turn the wii on all i get is a black screen. Did the wii brick or am i not doing something right?

With the Wii turned off, hold the RESET button and turn it on using the POWER button. Keep holding the RESET button until Priiloader appears - usually 10 seconds or so.

If that doesn't work, turn off your Wii, unplug the power cable from the back, unplug the power cable from the wall outlet, wait 20 seconds, then plug everything back in and try turning on your Wii normally.

Let us know how it goes.

i had it unplugged all night so that makes it approximately 22 hours or so. did that a few times and nothing pops up just a black screen. I am assuming at this point it is bricked. What i believe I might have done wrong is during the wad installer and installation of wads i forgot to take out the wad files i previously had when loading usbloader gx. so i think it grabbed those wads as well and installed them during the installation.

But for as far as everything else went i finished installing priiloader and it went to the homebrew channel. from the homebrew channel i held the reset button down for a few seconds and nothing happened wii just froze on hbc. then i held power down for 10secs rebooted and bam black screen with no response. I have tried using a controller with dpad down while powering up -nothing, I have powered up and quickly held down the reset button for over 2 minutes and nothing, and what you told me above. I am assuming at this point the back up files on that guide i was told to make will no longer help me out here. So reading around i found out i can either flash the ram ( i believe thats what was said) or attempt to replace the motherboard itself. Also last thing i read was i can sell it for parts specifically the cd drive reader and get 30 for it. Anyone else got any other suggestions at this point.

Take out the sd card and unplug all usb devices and Gamecube controllers. Hold reset. Then press power. continue to hold reset while the wii powers on. If you finished installing priiloader the white priiloader screen should come up.

Did you install bootmii as an IOS or boot2?

IOS using letterbomb for 4.3u to recover my homebrew from a previous mistake of updating wii with hbc. Ios was only choice given. i believe i have tried doing it without anything in it but i will give it another go without sd card when i get to the wii.

Update: unplugged sd and only had power and cables for tv in and still black screen.

My advice: sell just the console and buy a used console for $30 (shipped) on eBay that has a screwed-up DVD drive from their kid loading 2 DVD's (there are a lot of these); you don't need the DVD drive anyway if you play games off a USB hard drive, and they load quicker that way. Also, few people know that you can often fix a Wii DVD drive with a $4 motor from China (also available on eBay).

yes many times have i done that. Little by little i was checking on ways on how to recover a bricked wii. Is there no way to do it from a failed priiloader attempt?

Yeah i hear you with that. My only prob is I cant dl any games from internet cuz windows 7 being a butt with torrents. All i can do for now is use what i already backed up to my pc which is only like 4 of my games. But being i am on this topic i was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to extract an iso from your dvd drive on a pc to the pc hdd to move it to a usb device or anything like that.
