Wouldn't hurt to leave them alone. If you have issues with any certain games loading simply change the IOS in the individual game settings to one of the d2x cIOS and that should fix it. Glad you are up and running!!!

Well.... USB Loader came up perfect. Every time I would try to run a game, it would crash back to the hbc. So I took the drive back to my computer to add another game... and it gave me the classic floppy disk error. "This hard disk needs to be formatted" lol

Tried it on two other computers.....what a POS. Well this is going back tomorrow.

Guess I'll just get the WD My Book 1TB for 120 bucks....give that a shot. It's 2.0/3.0, but I faith it will work.

    Thanks for the help!

Your syscheck shows that the rest of your mod could use an update as well. You should follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide (link in my sig) to get it up to date.

And you need a program like WBFS Manager or WiiBackup Manager for you to see the contents of a WBFS formatted drive on your PC. Windows will not natively see it.

Oh I forgot to mention, I reformatted it earlier to NTFS. lol Sorry to leave that out. I thought the other loaders would see it better.

May I recommend the WD Elements SE? It is also 3.0 and everything - it is also around the same price (got mine for $120-130 - sorry I can't remember exactly!). I have had absolutely NO problem with it and I can leave it plugged in 24/7.

The only reason I would buy a My Book instead is because it looks a little better lol...but I don't really care about looks

Did you set the ntfs partition as primary and active when you formatted it? We do have guides on how to correctly format. My previous recommendation still stands though, you should follow the ANY wii guide. At the bottom of that guide there is also a link to our fat32 guide which shows how to correctly format.

Sent using the WiiHacks app. Please excuse the brevity, punctation, and spelling.

Yeah I formatted right. After taking a look at the guide (its been awhile), my wii is WAY the hell behind lol. The last major update I did to it was the usb 2.0. DL the CIOS PACK v6 now and about to update all of it.

what are the benefits of fat32? I thought NTFS would be fine?

You should also reinstall the HBC in order to get it to run on IOS58.

NTFS should be fine these days, but FAT32 will be a little bit more globally supported. Plus as far as I know, hbc will run apps off a fat32 usb but not ntfs.
