everythiong should work fine with a WBFS partition, and a FAT/FAT32/NTFS partition.

My main USB hdd has 750gb WBFS/200GB NTFS/50GB FAT32.

ISO on WBFS, My junk for moiving between laptop and PC etc NTFS, and covers, apps, wads and roms on FAT.

Ive had no problems witrh any program that supports USB as a source for the roms etc.

Are you sure this isnt just a case of the program your trying to use not compatible with the USB HDD?

True, but that's because you've covered all the bases with a 3-way partition split. I've really been pushing for, throughout this thread, the hope for these guys to just accept a universal format and stick with it.

WBFS is cute, but it's really lame to work with. There might be 2 decent utilities to really move files and, at that, they move a limited type of files.

My best answer has come via making the Wii into a LAN file server. I don't want to screw up the USB slots by pulling those plugs in and out forever.

as far as the support from the apps your using, you get what you pay for, you paid nothing, so you have to live with a bit of inconvenience, just partition your drive and live with it.

Dude, if you really don't know, just have the honesty to admit it rather than try and slap down someone who tried your method and it didn't work for them. "The way i did it works" isn't really a universal cure-all when it comes to technical answers. If everyone had your attitude about answering questions, nothing would get answered. It's got nothing to do with if you paid for it or not, people come here seeking answers. Heck, that's the point to these forums and no one pays either.

I'm "living" with it (as you so brutally put it) but that doesn't mean i won't continue to search for a better way. I'll quote you by ending with "Dude, your technical skills (and tact) in answering forum questions suck...so deal with it".
