A new breed of racing game is on its way from Tecmo KOEI. The company's Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey and Gallop Racer will be releasing on October 25th for the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.
Champion Jockey takes players into the heart of horse racing and utilizes the latest motions sensor controls on the PlayStation 3 as well as the Wii's remote and nunchuck controllers. Depicting a collection of real world inspired races, players will experience what it feels like to be a jockey using intuitive gameplay.
From the track to the stables, players will be in for some serious thoroughbred horse racing action in Champion Jockey. On the track players will be thrown into the saddle to drive their horse, jump fences, and use a whip to simulate a real life horse race. In the stables, players will be tasked with the thrilling challenge of breeding and raising their very own race horse. After customizing their jockey, players must hone their skills by acquainting themselves with their horses' unique rhythm, potential, stamina and preferred racing style to excel on the course.
Players can race their equine champions on 19 different tracks, all of which are inspired by real world horse racing tracks including (but not limited to) turf and dirt tracks and steeplechases from all over the world.
Serious and casual horse racing fans can compete together in an accessible "Fun Race Mode". Toning down the simulation levels of authenticity, this mode will maximize the fun of using motion controls to race. Offline, the game supports one to two players, and allows for up to four jockeys online.
Champion Jockey is the spiritual successor of the G1 Jockey and Gallop Racer series and charges to the finish line on October 25th, 2011 for MSRP $49.99 on PlayStation 3 and $39.99 on the Nintendo Wii.
