I got my Gecko today. Now I just need to find some free time.

I've got several titles to launch but none to run yet. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that I couldn't use the pre-patcher in Linux. I installed VirtualBox running Vista so I could have access to Windows. I've actually pre-patched a few images and I'm in the mood to test so I'll report back in a couple of hours...hopefully with better results than my initial findings.

Edit: I've regained control of the TV and I am currently putting patched versions of Alien Hominid and Hitman 2 on my Gecko's SDHC. I will report back soon. Hopefully I can get something to work before bed so I can update my guide tomorrow.

Alien Hominid froze at the same point. Hitman 2 actually booted into the start of the game intro and froze. That's the farthest I've had a game load thus far. There was a weird audio issue though. I need to play with it longer and update my guide a bit. Maybe I'll dedicate tomorrow or my birthday the day after to just playing with Swiss. Trying the new WiiPower cMIOS that Stomp pointed me to based on MIOS v10 and stuff like that.

I got a game to work! Star Fox Adventures. I played for about 15 minutes with no problems video wise. There was no slowdown during videos or anything. There were major audio problems but it's proof that this will work for us! I'll update my guide tomorrow because I have to sleep for work.

This is great, an alternative to Wii's that cannot play backup discs. I wish I had a gecko so I could do some of this.

They are cheap. I think I paid like $8.99 for mine. I saw a knock off one on DX website for like $3 including shipping but you'll have to wait for it to come from Hong Kong which can take forever. I'm almost ready to buy a IDE-EXI adapter and make a specific GC HDD but I should probably hold off until I get more than one game running. I'm just a little excited that there may finally be a solution to disc loading.
