Apple has now gathered the free or lite versions of iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad apps into a new category of the App Store. This makes it easier for customers to locate the trial or lite versions and perhaps minimize buyer's remorse.

This move by Apple might be in response to their surprising loss over the recently issued exemptions to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. As posted HERE, jailbreaking of iPhones by their owners is currently legal.

Remember that Apples states that while not illegal, jailbreaking does void the warranty. The creation of "Try Before You Buy" may be a way to dissuade some customers from jailbreaking their iDevice just to try out some apps for free before deciding to buy.
