Too each their own, I don't think that playing disks from the dis channel is important enough to make it worth the risk. There are plenty of safer ways to play backup disks.

I was just hoping it would sort out the audio streaming problem in some gamecube game backups, such as Starfox adventures and Crash Wrath of Cortex. No such luck though, back to the NAND backup it is then lol...

Interesting new name but I'll still refer to it as failcorp

I don't get why you wiihacks mods don't like it.

    You're not scared, are you?

Is as safe as an official sysmenu 4.1 update, so there's nothing to worry about.

DARKCORP is more than just playing burned games from disc channel, it does more.

Just try playing IOS-reloading games via loaders... they won't work...

RSA signature check is removed so you can run whatever hacked games / custom isos you want.

And this won't be overwritten by an official update, so these hacks/exploits can stay, meaning:
It will stop 4.2 from giving error 003, and should you ever get error 003, you can fix it with this. (thanks to mauifrog for the method)

It also puts Korean key support on non-Korean wiis.

    Hope someone here enjoys DARKCORP.

as for the GC audio stream problem, that's not a problem with CORP, but a problem with cMIOS itself...
I know that all the new "solderless" modchips like drive ley cannot handle the audio streaming either...

...maybe try an app called fstfix.exe

I'm going to try fstfix.exe on my CB:TWoC right now and see what happens.

And while that's working, I'll be playing my Korean Zelda:TP on my PAL wii.

    Go on...
I DARE you to install DARKCORP!

I don't think its so much of the mods are scared of trying, If they try it and something goes wrong they can fix it no prob. I think its more on, new softmodders trying an advance app, which when they screw up, they end up bricking thier wii
since this forum, helps a lot of brick issues, to minimize the brick problem on new soft modders, cioscorp is not that highly supported.

    just my 2 cents:P

I think one of the largest shortcomings of cIOSCORP/DARKCORP remains it's ease of installment for those who have no idea what they're doing. With this latest release and the new installer it's become even easier.

It's not that cIOSCORP isn't a really, really effective tool - it is. It does a great job in the right hands.

But in a large community like this where so many variables exist (newbs, people who refuse to read, etc.), sometimes the forum leadership has to make a decision: Provide ongoing, almost relentless support for an application bundle which, through misuse and ignorance on the users part, has helped cause countless bricks -- Or recommend against it's use to all but the most experienced and informed, so if something does go wrong the user would need minimal support to restore their console.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting the fault here lies with the designers -- I don't think it does. It lies with the users. cIOSCORP is a really well-put together package: I've had it installed on my console in the past and enjoyed it to the extent I needed it for with zero problems.

But the good of the community in forums like this always has to come first, and my observation has been that the majority of leadership here has decided that, for now, recommending the use of cIOSCORP doesn't fit in to that plan.
