    New Wii Drive Discovered!

Here's the new Wii drive, as reported on WiiNewz and discovered by ModChipCentral.com

The PCB board just keep on getting smaller and smaller. Doesn't even look like you can swap PCB with the motor wires solder onto the board. Wonder if it will work on existing modchips.

Why does Nintendo even bother with stuff like this? What Nintendo needs is a new drive that stops people from ripping the ISO to a USB device.

Maybe this is it stomp and maybe they might release the 4.3 firmware or higher to go with it, basically a go F*** yourself update which kills homebrew kinda like the 4.2 but on a much higher level.

Ok, but the new drive, even with a new update to go with it, doesn't really address the issue that The Big N has with Homebrew. Piracy. Ok, so they disable ripping from disc to USB. So what? The same pirates who are downloading (or are lucky enough to have the correct DVD drive and can rip directly to the PC) thier .iso's now will continue to download or rip and install via WBFS Manager or alike. All that the new update and drive will do is save people more money by having them cancel thier GameFly accounts and just download more. And even if the 4.3 update disables Disc-to-USB on all models, it will only affect those who are not smart enough to say no to the update, so the same things still apply. The Big N is trying, just not addressing the correct issue.

Does anyone know the serial number of the console in which is find the new drive?
I think that drive can be modded by replacing both PCB board and lens.
