How does the friending process work? Do we still have to have the wii friend code or is there a gamer tag?

Actually, I think the connection dropped during the update. The only reason I had it removed from the box was to update it before Christmas, anyway. XD Fun surprise, right?

I guess this be a pretty common problem, considering they've launched the Wii U with a 5 gigabyte update, but then again, I'm prone to some pretty freaky accidents. Remember when the ZIF clip was just loose enough in my Wii to make the community think it was experiencing a software related issue?

Lol, yeah...I know a lot of people replace the whole drive when that happens not knowing what the problem is.

I have to say its a bad move on Nintendo's part to make such a large update and have the system totally die if the update fails.

I'll bring this up IF they refuse to do the repair due to section c of the Warranty Limitations. Considering that it's a software related issue, I can't see why they wouldn't just reflash it and update it before sending it back. They'd keep some of my respect if they took that path. Oh, and they'd better make sure to send it back with the Wii U version of the "kissing fish" disc with it while they're at it! ;D

Lol, I don't have a WiiU so I want to ask (not sure if you'll know either). Do WiiU games have updates on them like some Wii games did? Cause if there is someway I could buy WiiU and update with a game disc instead of online (so I don't brick) that would be perfect.
