Installing WAD files on Wii U (Wii Mode)

I've been having a lot of trouble doing this. I have HomeBrew Channel installed, and WADManager in my /apps/ folder, but when I open HBC nothing is there.

I've followed several guides, uninstalled and reinstalled HBC several times, and read many forum threads to no avail. I figured if anyone could help me it would be here. I just want to install some japanese WADs so I can speedrun games.

    Thanks in advance!

This is the guide you should use to mod your vWii. Be sure to read it several times before trying it.

It is also strongly recommended that you don't install any wads aside from what's included in this guide. Wii U has ZERO brick protection so if you install a bad wad that bricks your vWii, you're chances of getting it working again are nearly 0%.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Should I restore my Wii/uninstall HBC once again before doing this?

Normally, no. Just follow the steps in the guide as-is, which will overwrite anything that you may have done to it before you started using our guide.

Thanks! I'll try that and report back with results.

Look, no one here is going to assist you in bricking your vWii. And the loaders will not install wads for you, which says to me that you haven't done your research. There's tons of info out there if you search for it, but asking to be spoonfed on how to do something that we tell everyone not to do won't get you anywhere.

If you are hell bent on trying out wads, do yourself a favor and look up nand emulation. It can be launched using wiiflow or GX. Search for an app called ShowMiiWads 1.5 mod (that version was specifically built for the vWii). If you find it, you will probably also find some instructions on how to use it. Zero chance of bricking when using an emulated nand.
