Cool First time gonna INSTALL AND PLAY Wii GAMES on a Wii-U

I have softmodded close to 250 wii's so far past 3 years.. I usually follow the mauifrog's guide.
I am gonna mod a wii-u to play wii games on it. The customer is visiting my place with his USA made nintendo Wii-U
I basically have all the necessary files for the sd card and the original smash stack game disc of course.

It will be nice if someone could point out the do's and dont's. This is the first time i am gonna experience wii-u(nice it has hdmi)..

Ok coming back to most important and buggiest thing : - The hdds for wii- u
i heard it can only play backups only powered hdd's!

    Ok
    1. Can it support NTFS ?
    2. Will it format my hdd?

    1.)Yes, it operates the same.

2.)Only if you leave it plugged in when going to the wii-u menu or on start up.

    3.)Cool.

Yes, the HDD must be externally powered.

EDIT:All the info. needed is with-in the "Guide".

    1. Use the center most rear usb port.

    2. A pen drive "should work", but as you should be well aware compatibility and setup of the drive is on you.

Sent using the WiiHacks app. Please excuse the brevity, punctuation and spelling.

Yes, there were months that i spent on researching which fl;ash drives work the best.
Some transcend ones work and some usb3.0 transcend pen drives does not..

After a lot of findings i see that best compatible for Wii was sandisk 32 gb - the black-red body flash drive.

I hope its the same compatibility that we must also stick to Wii-U as well.

Now all is set.... I am using a 4 gb transcend flash drive to fire up 2-3 smal games.... it detects and works well on the usb cfg loader. But ONLY asks select partition in usb gx loader.. I will be more comfortable to play games from usb gx rather than any other. please help if it has to do with settings?

USb gx loader does not detect my games whereas the cfg loader detects and plays

You may need to set the default load cios in GX to 251, then in the individual game settings change it back to 249 or 250, depending upon what game you are playing.

The Wii U will prompt you to format the drive if it is left plugged in. Nothing to be concerned about. Just dont plug it in until you are going to use it, or make certain you dont format. If you have kids that use it, I would HIGHLY suggest you leave it unplugged LOL.

Hi Guys the problems are now solved.

I would recommend not to mess with cios or other settings. Most cases the culprit is always the flash drive.

I used SANDISK 32GIG FLASH drive that has a black red body!

Made a folder called wbfs and fired up 10 of my favourite Wii games.

Now all the loaders(cfg,gx and wii flow) - ON DEFAULT SETTINGS ** is detecting my games and they loads flawlessly.

    - I am hoping to have one more happy customer today! thanks.
