Chinese knockoffs are great for something's. I buy them to charge my iphone and they work even if they are lower quality than cables made by apple.
Ok I will see how long it will last....The packaging it came in was professional too and I bet nyko products are made in China lol

PowerPak is once again unavailable from gamestop. I actually was able to order it before that so hopefully I get mine. It is looking like Nyko can't keep up with the demand for this product and it may be continue to be difficult to get a hold of.

I'll just leave my pre-order at Amazon in tact and hope they ship them one day instead of selling them for double the price.

Oddly enough, Amazon had 13 left in stock now, where they had 5 when I last checked. 8 more units selling for $50 still where I'm still waiting for my $25 unit.

I got a shipping email from GameStop on mine. With this and the uboost I will likely never run out of battery.

Mine shipped. I should have it Wednesday. I don't plan on reselling it. I'm using mine.

To anyone whose interested; I've read that Nintendo is releasing an improved GamePad battery (only in Japan for now) that gets 8hrs of life.

I know JoostinOnline got his third-party version the other day. I didn't pay any mind to see what real world performance improvement it might've given... it wasn't Nintendo-branded, of course.

    Good offtop

Back to main question, I bought just today Wii U and played only 1-2h, but one can say - it was really good fun like first Wii, playing Nintendoland (competing with sister ). Now I need to check all other features, buy games but this gamepad is interesting. I love idea of its touchscreen.

Haven't got test the battery life yet but the powerpak was pretty easy to install. It comes with a screw driver that worked fine. It fits in the gamepad perfectly and the original battery is really easy to take out. When the powerpak went in the plug was naturally upside down so I had to twist the wire to flip the plug but that was pretty easy. It sat on the charger all night and was fully charged this morning.
