If installing homebrew , updating wii u or not ?

Hey,

I was wondering if I install homebrew channel on vwii mode. (just for using "wiimc" on it)

Could my wiiu brick or have big problems with future updates then? Or could it block some things ?

Just to be sure, otherwise I will wait with it. Don't wanna take riscs just for that "wiimc" stuff. :p
But it would be great that I can run it on my wiiu :-)

I've only seen that in reference to normal Wii's but it makes sense that the vWii would be susceptible to it too.
