Just to give a little update on how this works. I have watched five 24 minute videos back to back, 0 errors (no lags no skipping). The Plex Program has also been updated since I first posted this guide and scrolling on the site is working much more smoothly (though still a tiny bit laggy).

This is definitely the perfect thing to have if you want to watch videos on the Wii U but don't want to hack it and use WiiMC.

Wow, well looking on google for possible solutions to the "UNKNOWN EP" problem, I see that another site has copy/pasted my guide :\

Funny thing is the guy is the site owner and didn't even credit me...

Wow, yeah I found the site. It really is just a complete copy and paste. If you look on the main page, it looks like the owner just copies the first post of every new topic he/she can.

    Yep

    Sound familiar, anyone ?

He also copied our vWii guide. I have brought it to the other staffs attention. I don't know if its that big a deal to anyone else, or if there's anything we could do about it, but I thought it was something they should know. I for one am a little upset. I would've at least liked to have been asked or credited. Hell, he could've at least linked back to this guide as the source.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

I'm actually kinda curious as to how far back it goes now, think I'll do a little digging.

Thanks for the guide though, I can finally watch my full MASH collection without having to hook up the DVD player. It's a huge pain to have to pull the TV back, swap the Wii inputs with the DVD player inputs, and then move the TV back to where it was when I want to watch them.

Are you talking about an original Wii? I wasn't sure if this would work on an old Wii, but if it does I'll have to update the guide a little. I have to edit the part about slow scrolling anyway since that's been fixed.

Oh I have both, Wii and WiiU, but it's just such a pain to swap the cords out because of how everything is set up.

On another note, that site has 233 pages of topics from here. Goes all the way back to May 5, 2010, a post talking about the next shipment of Wiis.

Woah! That's a lot of copy pasting...why would anyone want to do that. I don't get it. I mean fine, create a site that does the same things we do but write your own material for it, don't steal other peoples.

I feel like it was done by a bot for it to go that far back, especially with nothing to gain, no ads on the page as far as I can tell. There are things on the right of the page that suggests it's been done to several other sites as well.

True. Plus I would think a human would've noticed the BBC formatting errors and tried to fix them.

Anyway, this "UNKNOWN EP 00" thing is driving my crazy. The recommended naming convention is Series - sXXeXX.file type (so like Naruto -s01e26.mkv). All my files are named as so: 26 - Episode Name.mkv.

Now before anyone says "that's the problem n00b!", I should mention that ALL my files are named that way yet only ONE refuses to display it's data correctly. I can't figure it out, but if I change the episode to the recommended name style it shows just fine and lists the data. If I could find where Plex stores the XML files for the specific episodes I might be able to fix it there.
