if not ill keep a eye for a larger one, again thanks for the info
The card you use to mod your system has to be at least 1g (up to 2g) so there is room for the NAND backup.

Once you have that and in a safe place, you can use whatever card (though, larger is easier to deal with) you want to run your apps.

would the older Wii titles lego indiana jones etc work or would you have to buy the Wii U Versions in order to soft mod?

If you needed Wii U games for the Softmod it would specified in the guide. Plus I'm pretty sure there are no Wii U versions of any Wii games...at least none on the list in the first post.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

It basically means either the user didn't read the guide, or didn't understand the guide. Being it's for the vWii (virtual Wii side of Wii-U), perhaps it confused him that, of course the guide would involve Wii (and not Wii-U) games.

For those using a micro sd card and are experiencing installation problems with d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii, i.e. not able to select anything higher than d2x-v6, try using a different Micro SD card adapter.

I am using a 1GB Kingston Micro SD card with an SD card adapter.

I was consistently not seeing the d2x-v10 option within the d2x cIOS Installer while following the instructions in step #4 in Post #1. Numerous failures.

Following the link within the troubleshooter spoiler in post #1 it took me to cjizzle's Choosing the correct d2x Distribution-Wii and vWii-ADVANCED thread. I followed the instructions noted and used Pob's FAT32 Guide to format my card again. Then used cjizzle's d2x cIOS links and d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii link to try again. Again, wow, much failure. No d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii able to be selected. Numerous tries.

I gave it a last ditch effort and swapped out the SD adapter I was using with a new adapter. deleted the files on the card. (did not reformat but probably could have) I went back to using the files from this threads spoiler #4, Modpack-vWii-v1.1, loaded those files onto the card. redid the IOS236 Installer v8 MOD installation even though that had successfully installed the first time i tried it. Then I tried running d2x cIOS Installer again and lo and behold, the d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii appeared. Everything then continued to go smoothly and that step was properly completed.

So, try swapping the SD card adapter out. Hopefully this helps someone. I was getting tired off my wife's dirty looks at running the same program over and over again.
If i have helped you, please let me know by saying thanks

What you mean is you disregarded the "standard 2gb SD card" in instructions. Still likely you aren't or won't be the only one, so good of you to post as a reminder.

Yep, had to skip that step because I only had the 1gb. All of my other cards are bigger than 2gb. Gotta work with what I got.

Very very nice guide, just installed HBC on my new wii u with 4.0.2 version, it works great! Now ripping original games on wiiflow. One question, do we really need to put the sd card everytime we run the wiiflow, is there a way to put it on wii u's internal memory?

    Thanks.
