Maybe off topic, but why the heck would you sell it now? Their are lots of good games coming in the near future, having spent all that money on the console in the first place just to get rid of it before that just seems like such a waste. When those games do come out you are probably going to want to get one again so it just seems like a bad financial decision. I guess if you are really hard up for cash, but if you are just selling because you don't play it much right now it seems like a bad idea.

More importantly: off topic and beyond the scope of this guide. If you're going to sell it in the second-hand market, I'd not consider a previously softmodded vWii a detriment to resale value --- quite the opposite, in fact.

I'm also looking to do this, can't future updates detect that there are added IOS's other than the original system ones therefor bricking the vWii?
and how would i go by deleting the hbc? is there a specific method for doing this or just using the normal channel manegment menu in the Wii's settings?

    Thanks in advance.

You usually would go through the same exploit used to install HBC using the same set of set up files, and when you activate the exploit and get the hackmii installer menu, you'll have the option to uninstall HBC.

Or, you can go to vWii Settings -> Data Management -> Channels and delete it from there. It may leave traces of itself in memory using this method, but it will remove it from the vWii Menu.

It's really recommended you not go crazy with installing things on the Wii U, as stated in this guide there is no brick protection (yet) so the less you install the better. We here at WiiHacks will recommend you keep the emulators on the SD card and run them from the Homebrew Channel.

Are you able to back up your games into an HDD and play them off there?
