Yeah...sounds like you bricked your vWii.... That was a really bad idea cowboying with your Wii U like that. As of now there is no known recovery method. For anyone else who reads this, DO NOT do what medawg did.....

I followed the guide exactly and tried the 3 loaders and none of them see's my games....I have put the games in the /wbfs folder

This was the same HDD used with my old softmodded Wii wich worked fine

Only the emulators works (Genesis,Atari, etc) wich loads from the HDD both the program and the roms so the drive has enough power (Iomega 500GB) with 2 USB plugs

    Any ideas ?

How is the hard drive formatted?

What exactly does your directory structure look like?

Try redumping your games to see if that helps.

    Us Can't bootup games

Ok, I've followed the guide, got all the way up to wiiflow seeing the HD and games but everytime I tried to start the game, it goes back to the wii menu. I've tried to installed a different cios but no prevail Any idea what could be wrong? USB GX and CFG do not see the HD, only Wiiflow sees it but current I cannot run any games. The HD works just fine on the normal wii.

When you say "tried to installed a different cIOS," what does that mean exactly? I can read that two different ways (picked a different cIOS, or installed a different revision wholesale). Is your USB HD externally powered?

My HD is WD externally powered, well first I've installed d2x-v10-beta53 then tried d2x-v10-beta52 but neither helps. Both version, only wiiflow sees the HD. Anyway, I went to GBAtemp and they told me I should try to change the cIOS to 250 or 251 and I finally got it boot up using 251. It looks like I have to go to every games in wiiflow to tell it to use 251 instead of default 249. I wish there is a better way of setting this at the loader level so I don't have to change the setting for every games.

Thanks for the guide. I have some questions

    1) I take it USB Pen Drives don't need to be powered?

    2) Will the Wii U still ask to format your drive if it's a Pen Drive?

    3) Will a USB 3 Pendrive work ok?

    4) Is it ok to play your games online?

Since the requirement is to have a powered USB device, USB sticks will likely not work, which would put your questions 2 and 3 as moot.

As for #4, you can play online on a modded Wii, so I don't think there would be any problem with playing online with a modded vWii.

Great guide! But it freezes when I insert the SD card and go to the Vault...

    Hello there experts,

Firstly, thanks a lot for the guide. Pretty straight forward!
I have followed the guide step by step, although when I pop in my 2GB SD Card, the vWii simply freezes. It keeps playing the background music and never loads anything...

    Any ideas?

Oh, and I have to turn off the energy plug to bring my WiiU back to life (hehe)

    Appreciate any help, maters.

Do a full format on your SD card, reload the files and try again.
