I am torn if I should finish this on gamecube or wait for this.

I am also playing Ocarina of Time on virtual console but have been debating picking up the 3DS remake and playing that instead.

They say they tweaked the ending in the HD version, so the end game doesn't drag out as long as it did in GC. And with a sail upgrade available in HD that isn't in the original, it allows the ship to go faster with having "full wind" in the sail at and angle against the wind, so you don't have to mess with changing wind speeds anymore after the upgrade.

The ending is awesome, but if you're grudging through what the current end-game is to get to it, you may want to just wait until the HD Version comes out to make the end-game easier.

As for OoT, I remember having problems with the N64 version (including VC) but had no problems with it on 3DS. That would be a good one to pick up as well. At least the water temple is easier to go through since they give you hints as to the path to follow.

I think I may play it more on the 3DS since I won't have to fight for TV time, I been playing Ocarina for years now and just beat the fire temple. I was going to pick it up the other day since I had a 30% off coupon but it was sold out and I got Pikmin3 and Game and Wario instead. I just wish these damn Nintendo Games would drop in price every once in a awhile....

I ended up picking this up and the 3DS ocarina. Off TV play has been awesome as I get a lot of playing time in when others are watching uninteresting television. Off TV play has actually cut in to my 3DS playing time a ton. I barely ever find time to play my 3DS when I am out and about and at home I end up playing Wii U.

I think I am almost done with this game....assembling the tri-force wasn't too much of a pain, I was way behind on my fish finding and found lots of other stuff when doing this part. I guess it is kind of cool because it forces you to explore the world but at the same time I hadn't had to do much exploring at all previous to this part of the game. I was intimidated at first but then I remembered that exploration was one of the great things about the original NES game and it sort of clicked. That is kind of cool since other 3D zeldas I have played did not have much exploration. Now after i beat the game I think I will go explore some more. That fast sail helps a ton, luckily someone told me where to get it...man that must be a pain in the original version....

On Ocarina I am on the water temple, sort of confused and lost in it at the moment but at least I picked up that zora thing so I can breathe underwater now....I was trying with out it at first and I drowned way too many times.

Unfortunately I did not meet my goal of finishing these before a Link Between Worlds. I got Majoras mask (never played it) on VC and got a Link to the Past (beat it in the 90's) with my club nintendo coins. I been playing massive quantities of Zelda lately. Too much Zelda and not enough time.
