GTA Chinatown Wars on Wii?

According to Take-Two, they're using the game to see whether games with mature themes are suited for the platform. Says CEO Ben Feder:

Even the M-rated content that we think is much more appropriate for the PS3 or 360, we have to look at the Wii as a viable platform across all our labels.

We’re going to do a lot of learning with GTA: Chinatown Wars on the DS in terms of bringing that kind of content to a Nintendo platform. Our partnership with Nintendo is as strong as it’s ever been. We’re really excited about it. We talk to them all the time. They provide great feedback for us.

Take-Two Interactive is the parent company of BioShock studio 2K Games, and of course, if it wasn't already obvious, Grand Theft Auto studio Rockstar Games. It also published The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for Bethesda Softworks.

If any of these games make it to the Wii, it'll make my day. My year. My decade. I implore you. Buy a DS, buy Chinatown Wars, help me stop playing the same three games on my Wii

I'd love to see it on Wii. GTA FTW!!!

Why? Every other game coming out now a days is like GTA lol. GTA is ok, but never that great =x. I think Madworld will suffice, in gore.

Uhmmm... that sterotype was broken with the release of Manhunt 2 lol. That pwns any GTA game ever made, and Madworld will also not go by that sterotype.

I somewhat agree with that...

I too would like to see more mature rated games for the wii, as they tend to be the better games (at least in my opinion). Not that there's anything wrong with wii sports (I love tennis & bowling) or any of the other lesser rated games, like smash, Kart & other great wii titles. It's just that I fancy myself a mature gamer

and would like to see more games catered for my taste. Now obviously we are seeing more M rated games for the wii coming out, but keep in mind that what seems to be the majority of great titles available for the 360 and ps3 are generally M rated games, and their superior graphic & technical requirements is one of the biggest reasons they don't get ported to the Wii, which equals fewer Mature games on the Wii.

So I think it might be a while before we see some A list, Mature rated games come out for the Wii

But hey, at least it's headed in the right direction.

Well when Manhunt 2 came out, Nintendo was like using that as a mature test game. And rockstar took it over the ege, like hardcore. Hence it missing its intinal release date, because it had to be toned down. Nintendo is just leary of letting to many companys create M games for the Wii.

Doesn't matter if the wii has some M-rated games, the system will still be looked at as a family/children system.
Look how many family/children games has been released for the wii over those violent games?
But it's pretty nice that it's coming onto the wii.

they Want to appeal to everyone not just the hardcore gamer as i am a casual gamer & they make way more money because most people purchase games that look like fun. i really just think they want lot's of money & that's it

To me, the more mature games typically are the fun ones. Of course guts, gore and language don't automatically equal a good game. I'm kinda skeptic about mad world to be honest. It looks like they're trying to play off the black and white artsy style of spirit, or sin city and it doesn't look too good to me.
