I still think is kind of pointless, with everything you have to do and whatnot. I still stick with my modchip lol , but maybe a HDD loaded with backups would be fun.

I'm kind of scarred to what Nintendo is going to do, when this becomes big thing.

since youre booting from your computer it will lag, based off how well your computer works

since youre booting from your computer it must be close to your computer to use, meaning basicly if you dont have a laptop, then you need a LONG cord

since youre not using discs, to use at a friends you must have the computer with you to use there

since youre using ISO from the computer, you must own them all, if you want to play every game you "backed up"

since this only works on windows, apple users are SOL

like i said its too tedious to use, thought maybe its more useful, when you get it, just wait for someone to review it if its even real
I agree with admiral is too useless... if you go to other place with your wii, you will need a bag for the wii and a bag for the pc and put them always near each other. lolol

The best ideia is a DIRECT USB 2.0 Harddisk connected to the wii , with lots of ISO games and stuff, and some software in a dvd data reads the harddisk and load a ISO (maybe requiring some chip or something to allow this).

Thats my scenario for a ideal mass-storage backup games (and running with no problems full ntsc (if you have a pal wii) and vice-versa)

i think is can be quite usefull...other than having to carry a laptop around if the dvd dies someday this will cover for it and it save me from wasting dvds (like when i was testing animal crossing: city folks made me waste like 5 Verbatims dvds... made in japan too) and test out games b4 i go *cough* buy them
but i have to agree w/ u having a direct USB 2.0 to a 2.5 or a 3.5HDD would be way awesome.... and just browse for the game in its own channel

so lets say... burning at 2x makes the dvd last idk lets WAY undershoot it and say 8 months

now with flatmii, which would require you to have that Game on your computer in some way like external or internal hard drive

28 x 4 *not gonna do the .3 for the simple fact its more effort =P* 120 gb + minimal to play every game *come on im not gonna Scrub/Zip every game when im not playing them =\* so since i got to always have games that i want to play even if i dont play them every day.... yeah great idea!

in addition on Animal crossing... clearly you know nothing =P
without IOS 38 boots perfectly in Gecko OS
without IOS 38, and changed to IOS 30 *a solution posted idk 40 mins after the first error 002* works perfectly in disc channel =P
with IOS 38 *posted a whole 8 hours after it was on Ntorrents (which was on release day), and was put on here like 9 hours later* works perfectly

-,_-, dont say we need a new useless tool when you dont take the time to read

i'm sorry if i'm not as experienced as u are admiral vic...
i've only started using the homebrew channel to play animal crossing
    b4 that i was happy w/ my D2CKey v1 w/ all my 50cent china burned games
which i have to say works great...

fyi... i did take my time to read...
    FlatMii*-*Wii*DVD*Drive*Emulator*(ISO*Loader*modchip)*w/*Free*Triwing*+*Phillips*Screwdriver*::*Modchips*: :*Nintendo*Wii*::*Mod*Central*Ltd.*

    >__> i never said "we" need this tool, i just said it might be good to have around when my dvd drive fails on me someday

either way i stand by wat 'ive said this a good tool to have around maybe in my case... urs might be different...

    P.S.
if 28 games in 5 month is low... i've only dled 20games at most over the 1 yr period that i have my chip installed
